"The continuation of this construction is responding local resident's request in Musrenbang 2024," he said, Tuesday (9/3).

Sofyan explained that the construction of the continuation of the embankment is carried out along 100 meters with a width of 80 centimeters and a height of 160 centimeters (four layers of massive cubes).

"We deploy 21 Blue Taskforce personnel," he added.

According to him, the construction has been running since September 2, 2024 and is targeted to complete in 60 days.

"Hopefully, the embankment can prevent the island from abrasion and protect residential areas from being hit by waves," he continued.

Meanwhile, one of RW 03 residents, Tidung Island Urban Village, Suratno (52), appreciated the personnel for responding the request.

"Residents will be safer and more comfortable. Tidal wave can be prevented from entering residential areas," he hoped.
